Flights from Madrid

Madrid is an elegant metropolis renowned for its rich art collections and vibrant history. Its main airport is Madrid-Barajas Airport which serves over 29 million passengers a year. Featuring four each of runways and terminals, Barajas hosts both national and international flights. The airport has modern facilities to serve its passengers including internet access. In addition to waiting areas and dining amenities, banks and shops are available for the convenience of travelers. For religious needs, a chapel and mosque can be found on the airport premises. The airport is also child friendly with kid zones, changing rooms, and baby strollers offered. Iberia even has a lounge for kids who travel unaccompanied.

Getting to Madrid airport

Madrid-Barajas Airport is accessed by taxi from your downtown accommodation. You can also arrange a shuttle transfer from your hotel to the airport. Another way of reaching Barajas is to take Metro line 8 from the Nuevos Ministerios station. The final stop will be at T4. Trains (Cercanías C1 line) will also go to Barajas. If you prefer to drive yourself to the airport, you can use highways M40 and M40 South. By urban buses Municipal Transport Company (EMT), routes 200 and 101 will go to the airport in addition to Exprés-203 and N27 Exprés.

Getting to the city centre

Flights from Madrid to Prague will land at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague located 17km northwest of the city. It offers several ways to reach the centre with taxis as the most comfortable options. Taxi operators can be reached at their contact counters at the arrivals hall of Terminals 1 and 2. Another way to reach the city is to take bus line 119 that will take you to Nadrazi Veleslavin metro line A or route 100 to metro line B in Zlicin. Those who availed of the 'Train + Airport Express' package can take the Airport Express bus to the Prague Main Railway Station.
