"CheckIn: The checked-in luggage weight allowance at CDG inflexible and arbitrary: our suitcase weights, when added together,were 3 kgs overweight. We were told to unload some pieces and take them in hand luggage instead if we wished to avoid paying a high penalty. What is the point, when the same collective weight is travelling on the same aircraft? Check-in personnel unfriendly and brusque. Personnel need to be reminded that they are employees serving paying customers--they are NOT doing us a favour by deigning to attend to us. Courtesy is a two-way street--a few lessons in customer service from any Asian airline personnel would be instructive. Gallic superiority towards foreigners will not gain customer loyalty and we would avoid this airline in future if there were viable alternatives."
