"ALITALIA DOES NOT PROTECT YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION. A passenger that was supposed to be seated next to me (but ended up in a different seat), contacted me on my mobile to ask me to meet him. He obtained my name and personal information from the airline!! He told he worked for them and that is how he got it. I don't know if it he works for them or not but he definetely retrieved my data from them. Be very careful because the airline does not think twice about sharing your address, phone and name with strangers! I called customer services to complain but I was send from one operator to another without answers.
Besides, I checked in on-line 24 hours earlier and I was relocated to another seat. This happened to 8 other passengers and we were all relocated to the same three seats. Both flights (to and from Italy) were delayed for over an hour. The take off and landing were anything but smooth."

"fkight was ok, but bags did not arrive at destination until 5 days after we landed in Palermo. Alitalia level of customer service at baggage reclaim was shockingly bad - lack of clear information, unhelpful staff and lots of unhappy people stranded at arrival with no clear news of where their luggage was or whether it was ever going to be recovered. Customer service in the 5 days before our luggage was located was equally bad and we spoke to lots of clueless people who could not give us any clear info re our luggage. This caused us a lot of inconvenience and we will now be thinking twice before getting an Alitalia flight again! we later found out that this happens al the time with this airline and that people always go through similar experiences. It's not yet clear whether we will be recompensated for the inconveninence."
