"The worst flight Ive been on in years! We were loaded on the plane and getting ready to taxi when pilot stated that the fuel injector was having issues- this was after already being BEHIND on pulling away from the gate. We were made to stay on the plane for 1.5 hours. Then bussed off the plane back to the terminal where we were not allowed to collect our bag or leave the departures area due to "immigration reasons". When I objected and said I would gladly go back out through customs and book myself another flight and them come back through- I was told I could not- although I know 2 passengers in business class were allowed to do so. We were not put on any other flights- not even to connect through London first, and we were given 1 phone card and one MEASELY 7 euro voucher for a 6 hour wait in Dublin! I could have gone home, re-booked my flight or taken another airline. I attempted to call customer serivice as well but they stated they could not help. When I asked what continental meant to do to compensate travelers- they essentially told me- nothing. When we finally got to Boston- there was no gate availabel and we waited AGAIN for 20 minutes in the plane-then again at baggage claim for 20 minutes- all this when some of us- including passengers with small children were desperately trying to make our connections."
