"Since the ticket cost was higher than my other trips, I expect even more for things to be at their best, but the flight was delaid and i had to run for my connecting flight in Madrid, my luggage didn't arrive and the employee of Iberia acted as if it was MY fault that my luggage wasn't there, and wanted my to pick it up the next day at the airport. I had to "explain" that it's on them when the luggage doesn't arrive. He was rude from the beginning and I reply the same way when I realise being nice wasn't going to get me nowhere."

"Stopovers: I had to stay in Madrid for 4 hrs, but the airport is nice and it wasn't crowded, they could have more and better restaurants, looked like the food offer was almost the same as in planes."

"Luggage handling: The attitude of the Iberia employee at the desk when I realise my luggage hadn't arrive. I even told him that I understood that in his position everyone goes there to make a complaint, but we are all costumers with a complaint to make and that's his job, to handle it the best way, not to make it worse.
Appart from that, when I called iberia service that continuous automated message didn't do any good either. Costumers appreciate talking to an operator, not a machine. One that speaks with good diction. Another thing was that my luggage was supposed to arrive between 13:00-15:00, and I wayted until I got a call at 18:00 saying that I should receive my luggage from 21:00-23:00. It came at 23:20, but the delivery man was extremely polite and joyfull which made it all up to the rest of the day. It does pay being nice after all.

"Incidents: When we are waiting for the gate to open, we still have time to go to the restroom or buy a snack, when the gate opens and we start moving for the aircraft, there is no turning back, so we expect to be seated in a short while. In Lisbon we toke more than 20 minutes and in Madrid (returning) we toke even more. And If I knew the plane was delaid, It would have saved me from running like a fool to get there on time and then waiting."

"Aircraft: Not able to purchase food on return flight as didn't have enough Euros, and Sterling was not being accepted, even though the flight was to London and I was able to pay with Sterling on the outward flight."

"Luggage handling: Lugguage lost on return flight, do not appreciate having to call the airline to ascertain the status of this, especially to an 0870 number, and especially not to have to call twice as my luggage had still not been delivered. Then to be waiting on hold for 20 minutes for the first call and 10 for the second is not very acceptable. I would recommend that the airline call passengers, as my number was provided and it is the fault of the airline so I do not see why the customer should pay a high cost telephone call. Or there should be an online system whereby customers can track their luggage."

"Incidents: Was not given a reference for the loss of luggage report filed and this was not entered onto your system until around 24 hours later due to high account of luggage losses. Also, was advised luggage was on a flight arriving at London at 11am the morning after my flight so should be delivered to me that day, but then told after second phone call that infact it had not arrived in London until around 9pm that day, and so would be delivered the next day (today) and I am still awaiting the delivery of my luggage. The customer care agents on the phone were however very polite and helpful."
