"Luggage handling: Those luggage check-in machines which I was forced to use, are no good. I think those in KLM who took this decision to introduce this system to obviously reduce costs, should check for themselves by being there (physically) the difficulties faced by customers. The machine didn't print out the baggage receipt. After the 2nd try the ground personnel told me to move bags out of it and do manual luggage checking. So, you took half-an-hour of my time and made me to suffer to go through all this. I saw more passengers suffering this way.
This experience was not good at all. This is a service industry, how can you do that if you save on your service personnel?? I really like KLM to fly with, please save the impression... Thanks.

"Luggage handling: Belt broke down in Amsterdam causing luggage to miss flight. Luggage only delivered next day - 28 hours after flight landed. Despite assurances that luggage would be put on next flight, it only arrived three flights later. Difficult to get through for news of if luggage arrived."

"Very disappointed with KLM. I missed the return flight due to unavoidable circumstances (the M6 motorway leading to Liverpool airport was closed for 4 hours due to a suicide attempt). When I called KLM they were very unhelpful and unfriendly. I had to purchase a new ticket with another airline."

"i was travelling alone with a 1.5 year old. Klm do not have priorotiy boarding for people with young children or in fact any kind of queing or orderly system for boarding so its a free for all scrum to get on to the plane, in addition the checking in schiphol is entirely chaotic and frustrating. Also when you get to the boarding gate you are squashed into buses, again a group rush to get on and not given any assistance. I found the staff to be generally civil but not helpful"

"CheckIn: An organised queueing system, with clear lines would help alot for checking in and dropping off bags and priority boarding, or at least some assistence for those travelling with young children so you are not caught in a large pushing crowd."

"CheckIn: The "Fastrack" through security was unmanned, so I had to fetch an irritated member of airport staff to let me through. The "Fastrack" escalator was out-of-order. The woman in charge of the VIP Lounge refused to let me enter with my Flying Blue Gold Card (it was printed off from the KLM website, following KLM instructions, since KLM has taken weeks to send me a real card), until I had argued strongly with her. Training required. Although Liverpool Airport offers a number of "extras" to KLM passengers, not all its staff support those extras nor bo they all appear to have been trained in KLM's requirements. It makes for irritations in what is fundamentally a good regional airport."

"Aircraft: Fokker 70 on this route. Old aircraft but appeared well maintained, was very clean and operated perfectly. Plane less than half full so plenty of room. Use of this aircraft means walking to the aircraft at Liverpool and a short walk to a bus on arrival at Schiphol."
