About Spanair
The Spanish airline Spanair was founded in December 1986 by the Spanish company Teinver and SAS. However, it was not until March 1988 that Spainair began flying. During the first few years, Spanair only offered international charter flights. Nevertheless, in 1994 it launched domestic flights in Spain, which later extended to the rest of Europe. Today, these flights most of the company's business. Spanair has been a member of Star Alliance since 2003 which enables it to create routes between the 18 members of the network.
In 2005, the company provided transport for over 9 million passengers on both regular and charter flights. Today, with offices in 14 different countries (such as Germany, USA, Morocco, Finland and Brazil) and a fleet of more than 61 aircraft, Spanair has become the second main airline in Spain. www spanair com
