About Santa Barbara Airlines
Santa Bárbara Airlines was founded on 13th June 1995, in San Carlos de Zuila, Venezuela, with the aim of becoming a regional airline. The first aircraft owned by the company, an ATR 42, was named Mi Chinita after the patron saint of Maracaibo city. The first flights operated by the company landed in Santa Bárbara de Zulia, el Vigía, Mérida and Cabimas in Venezuela.
Aruba was its first international destination. The airline's headquarters are located in Maracaibo and it has a secondary hub in Maiquetía.
During the past few years, Santa Bárbara Airlines has focused its strategic development towards international flights, offering destinations such as Lima, Quito, Cuarzao, Barranquilla, Tenerife, Madrid, Funchal and Miami. Today, it has a fleet of 6 ATR 42 aircrafts which are used for domestic routes and flights to Aruba, and four Boeing which operate international flights. www santabarbaraairlines com
