Dominica's only beachfront hotel, Castaways Beach Hotel is a family owned hotel providing relaxing accommodations on this small Caribbean island. Offering a lush mountainous interior of rainforests, waterfalls, lakes, hot springs and more than 200 rivers, Dominica touts itself as a "non tourist destination" for divers, hikers and naturalists. The hotel is five miles from Layou Hot Springs and 11 miles from Roseau, a good spot to shop for native crafts. The Melville Hall Airport is an hour by car.
