Events are always a great excuse to travel so that is why we have compiled a short list of some dates you ought to put on your calendar this month. Perhaps they will coincide with your holiday this May or maybe it is just another excuse to look for last minute flights and set off on an adventure.

Prague Spring International Music Festival 2011
Opera lovers will want to go to this annual event which takes place on the 12 May this year. Performances are held in venues all over the city so you are more than likely to get a sneak peek of the National Theatre, the Church of Our Lady before Týn and the Vysehrad Cemetery.
Brussels Gay Pride 2011
Parades, parties and an excellent excuse to travel! The Belgian capital is host to Gay Pride mid-May and it is one big party that lasts a weekend.

One of the most important motorbike races in Ireland. This is a great excuse to visit Northern Ireland and watch this event.
