Talking about a good bargain! Michael O’Leary, president of the low cost airline, claims that Ryanair will offer flights to the United States for less than 15 euros as soon as the company purchases the necessary long-haul aircraft.

The flights will connect 14 main European airports to more than 12 U.S. destinations, including New York and Boston, as reported by The Telegraph. And of course, as expected, passengers will not be exempt from additional charges, such as baggage fees.

When will this happen? Anytime between six months and five years from now…

As the company does not own any long-haul aircraft, it might take Ryanair up to five years to offer these flights. According to O’Leary, the airline would need “a fleet of 30, 40, 50 planes, and not two, four or six”. That explains the wait…

As is the case now, the cost of these flights will vary depending on the seat and extra services. “Not every seat will be €10 of course, there will also need to be a very high number of business or premium seats,” adds O’Leary.
