Over the year of 2012 we posted who knows how many blogs about everything to do with travel. Out of those blog posts 12 of them really stood out to our readers and we wanted to give them one last hoorah as a way of thanking you for being there through all of our posts, because without our faithful readers this blog just wouldn’t make sense.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day 2012 we brought you the top 10 most romantic places in the world. From Bali to Honolulu, Easter Island to Havana, the list of destinations was loved long past V-Day.
2. Bargain hunters
Free money you say? Our readers were all over that, and as we continue with new monthly coupon codes on our Facebook page this post topped the charts as not only useful but pocket friendly.
We presented the most “liked” airlines on Facebook with an up-to-the-minute running count of “likes” of the top 50 airline companies in the business.

The EuroCup was huge in 2012 and our readers voted on the best and most spirited fans by country. In the end, Ireland came in first with 28% of the votes.
From Brave to the Hunger Games, we gave our top choices for Halloween costumes in 2012.
6. Proud of the skin they’re in
In the end of 2011 we posted our nude travel survey results, showing that nearly 1/3 of our Facebook fans from across Europe have practiced nudism in public. The post has stayed strong throughout 2012 and into 2013.

7. Outside of the box travelers
Our readers don’t want to stay at your run of the mill hotel when they’re traveling, they prefer capsules, coffins, and caves.
We took our customer reviews on the different airline companies and ranked them from 1-100 in an interactive infographic. The popularity of this post shows that our readers do a bit of investigating work before they buy tickets.
9. Beer lovers
Oktoberfest is bound to be popular in the months leading up to the beer fest, but the year round interest in the rules of Oktoberfest shows that our readers are not only planning ahead but must be avid beer drinkers.
With all the differences between each airline when it comes to bag sizes, weight,..etc. our readers found this post useful as a guide to each individual airline’s luggage dimensions and restrictions.

We traveled back into the past to look some of the travel ads from the 1940’s to the 2000’s. These vintage travel advertisments were a big hit.
