Founded in 2003, Etihad Airways is the flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates. The airline is based out of Abu Dhabi International Airport. Including codeshares it operates flights to nearly 350 destinations. Its fleet consists of 72 Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Their frequent flyer program is called Etihad Guest.

Online check-in is available on Etihad's website from 24 hours up to 2 hours before scheduled flight departure.
Hand baggage allowance
The maximum size of all hand luggage is 111cm (total of length + width + height). The amount and weight of cabin baggage allowed on-board depends on the class of travel:
- Coral Economy Class: 1 piece, maximum weight 7kg
- Pearl Business Class and Diamond First Class: 2 pieces, maximum weight 12 kg
In addition to the hand luggage allowance, all passengers can also bring on-board one of the following items: a handbag, a coat, umbrella or walking stick, a small camera, briefcase, laptop, etc. A foldable wheelchair, crutches, walkers or other necessary orthopedic aids for disabled passengers may be taken on board free of charge.
Checked baggage allowance
The maximum dimensions for all checked bags are 45 x 72 x 90cm. The free checked baggage allowance weight depends on the class of travel and the route:
- All flights except to/from the U.S., Canada and Brazil:
- Coral Economy Class: maximum weight 30kg
- Pearl Business Class: maximum weight 40kg (no single piece can weight more than 32kg)
- Diamond First Class: maximum weight 50kg (no single piece can weight more than 32kg)

1 st flight was good although they have been very strict on luggage weight although it was confusing as I didn’t t gave the same rights of weight on the way to Sri Lanka and return so they mdr me pay 130 e which I think is far too much the 2nd plane was not so confortable On return same 1 st flight not so confortable 2nd plane great but I forgot my reading glasses in the plane and I m trying to contact etihad and it s difficult!
