Getting to Bangkok airport

Suvarnabhumi Airport is a distance of 25 kilometers east of Bangkok city center. To catch a flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui, the easiest way of getting to Bangkok Airport from the city center is to hail a metered taxi and take the raised freeway after paying the toll charges. However, another option that is more popular, quicker and cheaper is to take the Airport Rail Link's City Line, which takes just 25 minutes from downtown Bangkok. The City Line stops at the basement level of the airport. Trains from the city center to the airport stop at six stations, including Phaya Thai Station and Makkasan Station.
