Dublin is the bustling capital city of the Republic of Ireland and is home to nearly two million people. It also hosts Dublin Airport, the main air transport hub. The airport handles 25 million passengers annually across both its terminals. There are 34 airlines that serve 180 destinations in 40 countries. Dublin Airport is one of the few airports in the world with a US Preclearance (USCBP) facility, allowing passengers for the States to complete immigration and customs inspections at the airport before departure. This is convenient for passengers on flights from Dublin to Miami who have onward connections because bags can be checked through to the last destination.
The airport is served by different modes of transport. From central Dublin, a convenient way to reach the airport is to take a taxi that you can reserve online or through your accommodation. Guests who are on flights from Dublin to Miami will arrive at Miami International Airport. To get to the city centre, you can take a taxi or make use of limousine services. All public transportation is located at the Miami Central Station. To connect from the terminals to the station, take the MIA Mover which is an electric-powered train. At the station, you can use Metrobus lines 7, 37, 42 or 57 to go downtown or the Metrorail. If you plan on going to Miami Beach, take the Miami Beach Airport Express bus. If you have reserved a rental car, you need to go to the Station to pick-up your ride.
