Flights from Lisbon

Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and its largest city. The city is served by Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, which was previously known as Portela Airport. The airport is close to the city center and was opened in 1942. It is one of the busiest airports in the Iberian Peninsula.

Flights to Dubai take off from Portela Airport, and this airport is a major hub of international travel. It is one of the largest airports in Europe and many people use this airport to travel to South America, Africa and the Middle East. Portela Airport has two terminals and has an impressive architectural design.

Getting to Lisbon airport

To catch your flight from Lisbon to Dubai, you will need to arrive at the Portela Airport in good time. As this airport is not very far away from the city center, you can easily take a bus, metro or taxi to reach the airport. If you are around Garo de Oriente bus and train station, you will reach the airport in around five minutes. Bus 208 takes you from Baixa to the airport in very little time. If you are around Pombal Square, get on bus 783 to reach the airport quickly. Metro de Lisboa also connects the airport with Garo de Oriente station.

Getting to Dubai

With humble beginnings as a tiny fishing hamlet, Dubai has metamorphosed into a global financial and shopping center. This desert city is home to sand dunes, beautiful oases and glittering shopping malls that attract millions of visitors every year. Begin your journey at the Gold Souk, which is one of the largest gold markets in the world. Spend some time at one of the traditional Arab coffee houses and engage in a conversation with the patrons. Head towards Dubai creek and enjoy the scenic beauty of Dubai, while admiring the skyscrapers from a distance. Finally, dine at one of the many world class restaurants that dot the city.

Arriving to the city centre

Flights to Dubai from Lisbon land at Dubai International Airport. The airport is only five kilometers away from the city center and is easily accessible from anywhere in the city. Once you arrive at the airport, look for Dubai Metro, which runs two lines close to the airport. The Red Line stops at Terminals 1 and 3, and takes you straight to Burj Khalifa Station. If you want to head toward the older parts of Dubai, such as Deira or Dubai Creek, take the Green Line from Terminal 2. RTA runs buses to Deira as well, and taxis are readily available outside the airport too.
