Milan is a financial and fashion powerhouse in the Lombardy region. Three airports serve the commuter needs of the city as well as neighboring towns. Milan Malpensa Airport is the primary international airport; it has two parallel runways and two terminals. Malpensa also handles cargo and boasts convenient amenities such as lounges, car parks and restaurants. The second most important hub is Milan Linate Airport, which accommodates both national and short to medium haul flights. Linate offers a range of dining options in addition to waiting and meeting rooms. Bergamo Airport is the third airport serving the city and it features modern amenities for the comfort of travelers.

Getting to Milan airport

It is easy to get to Malpensa by taking a taxi from your hotel or arranging a shuttle service to pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Another way to reach the airport is to drive hired cars using the A8 highway. Buses, trains and coaches also serve Malpensa from downtown Milan. To arrive in Linate, you can take a taxi, coach or bus. If driving, take the A4/A51. Bergamo Airport is reachable by bus or taxi. There is no train station at the airport. Passengers are advised to take the train from Milan city to the main station after which bus transfers can be arranged to the airport.

To reach NYC from Newark Liberty International Airport, take the Amtrak train or NJ Transit Bus/Express Bus. Taxis, car rental and van services are also available to commuters.
