Toronto is the capital of the province of Ontario and known for its highly multicultural population. Its main airport is Toronto Pearson International Airport. It is the busiest in Canada handling about 41 million passengers annually and travelling to over 174 cities across the globe. Toronto Pearson offers convenient facilities for visitors including comfortable lounges, stores and restaurants. It also schedules regular art exhibitions at the airport. Free Wi-Fi and business services are available. For those who do not wish to bring heavy or bulky coats when travelling to warmer climates, the Samsonite store can keep them until passengers return to Canada. An exercise facility at Terminal 1 is also available for a fee.

Getting to Toronto airport

Toronto Pearson International Airport is well-served by public transport. To reach the airport from downtown Toronto, take the GO Transit routes 34 and 40 from the city. There is also an express bus and subway service that will take you to Pearson (routes 52, 192, 300 and 307). From Mississauga, use bus routes 7 and 24. Another fast and reliable way to get the airport is to use the Union Pearson Express, an air rail link. You can catch the trains at Weston, Bloor and Union stations. The ride lasts 25 minutes and there are trains every 15 minutes. Other means of getting to the airport include taxis, car rentals, limousines and shared vans.

Getting to New York

New York is like a magnet luring visitors to its many outstanding attractions. There is just so much to see and do in the city, whether you are a resident or a visitor for a day. Getting to the city centre

The metropolis is served by three airports: John F. Kennedy International Airport, La Guardia Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport. Passengers on flights from Toronto to New York will land on one of these airports. To get to the city from JFK, you can take the subway, train or bus. Outside the terminal, there is a taxi stand with the familiar yellow cabs. Otherwise, you have the option of using a car rental, limousine or shared ride services. La Guardia is served by buses and taxis. From Newark Liberty to New York, visitors can use Amtrak trains and the NJ Transit buses as well as taxis, private shuttles and hired vehicles.
