TAP is the national airline of Portugal and was founded in 1945 under the name Transportes Aereos Portugueses (TAP). Although founded as a public company in 1953, TAP was once privatized, but since 1957 the airline has again become a national company. Its first flight took off on September 19, 1946 on a route from Lisbon to Madrid. In 2005, TAP entered into the Star Alliance. Currently, TAP is the leading airline in the Portuguese market, based in Lisbon and operating to 78 international destinations in Africa, North America and South America. TAP has a fleet of 55 aircraft, consisting exclusively of Airbus. In 2006 the company acquired Portugalia, the country's second largest airline.

Flight cancelled, diverted to Amsterdam. Seating changed at the gate. Luggage lost on the connection. Return flight delayed more than an hour.
Comfortable but a long quoeu at check point of gate
I had two flights. Everything operated by TAP was great, by Ukrainian International Airline just ok
Extremely dissatisfied. Flight delayed for more than 1 hour so I had to wait in Lisboa another 4 hours for next flight because I missed the planned flight. So I missed the family gathering for Christmas in the morning in Barcelona. Rude and arrogant staff in flight, no food for vegetarians and absolutely very old and dirty aircraft. I want to reclaim my money because their fault cost me a family gathering and some good money.
You advertised one price and then when I went to pay it was another - not good.
Flight from London to Lisbon was delayed 1 hour so I lost my connecting flight in Lisbon to Asturias. This was really unfortunate and unnecessary because we landed in Lisbon 30 minutes before departure of my second flight. But TAP Portugal did not provide service for urgent transfer -unlike other European airlines- so I had to stay one night in Lisbon and wait 24 hours for the same flight in the next day.
Little leg space (for 185 cm person) and fixed seat angle makes for little rest, no comfort. On the cross-Atlantic part seats go back just enough to make sleep impossible, and still not enough leg room. Very worn music tracks, film tracks with sound of music and no voices. Need a big think-through
We had to wait 45min in the mad-lis flight and 3hours in the return flight. Awfull
My reserved seats were changed twice for which I paid extra when buying the ticket.
