Flights from Berlin

Berlin is one of the largest cities in the world and a political and cultural center of Europe. Berlin is served by Berlin Tegel Airport and Berlin Schonefeld Airport. Tegel Airport is located well within the city, whereas Schonefeld Airport is much farther away, in Brandenburg.

Your cheap flight from Berlin to London may take off from either Tegel or Shonefeld airports. Tegel Airport is the older of the two, and has served Berlin for a long time. Shonefeld Airport is slightly younger and is just outside the city. Both the airports have witnessed the World Wars and fall of the Berlin Wall.

Getting to Berlin airport

The easiest way to travel between countries is by taking flights, Berlin to London route is no exception. To get from Berlin to London, figure out if your plane is leaving from Schonefeld or Tegel. From Berlin Central Station, take the JetExpress TXL bus and get off at Tegel Airport. Taxis take around 25 minutes to cover this distance. Schonefeld Airport is much farther away, and the easiest way to get there from Berlin is to head to the Central Station, and hop on an RE Regional-Express train. BVG runs buses to both the airports from different neighborhoods of the city.

Getting to London

London is one of the largest cities in the world and is an international center of commerce, culture and politics. London is also one of the most important centers for international art. When you visit London, take the time to explore some of the most important art museums and galleries in the world. Begin your journey at Tate Modern, which houses some of the best known modern and contemporary art collections in the world. The National Portrait Gallery is an impressive storehouse of historical portraits. Head toward Courtauld Institute of Art for some serious French Impressionist paintings. Finally, end your trip at Dulwich Picture Gallery in south London, where you can admire Spanish Baroque art.

Arriving to the city centre

Flights to London may land at one of the six airports that serve the city of London. If your flight lands at Gatwick, take the Gatwick Express. From Heathrow, Heathrow Express brings you to Paddington Station. If your flight lands at Luton, Stansted or Southend airports, all you need to do is find one of the trains that get to the city center. If you are lucky enough to land at London City Airport, just a hail a taxi. This airport is already in the city center and you will reach your destination in no time.
