Cheap flights from Istanbul leave at either Sabiha Gokcen International Airport or Istanbul Ataturk Airport. To fly from Istanbul to London, your plane will depart from one of these two airports. Sabiha Gokcen Airport is 35 kilometers from downtown Istanbul, whereas Istanbul Ataturk Airport is 24 kilometers away.

Cheap flights to Istanbul from London and back may use either Istanbul Ataturk Airport or Sabiha Gokcen International Airport. If your plane is departing from Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, reach Taksim Square and hop on one of the coaches or shuttle buses. Shuttles and coaches are also available from Kadikoy. If you plan to take a taxi, ask the driver to take the E80 route. To reach Istanbul Ataturk Airport, take Istanbul Metro line M1A at Yenikapi. This line also stops at some of the major stations in the European part of the city. There are direct buses from Taksim Square and other Istanbul landmarks to Ataturk Airport.

London has always been a Mecca for sports lover, and with a variety of sports museums, clubs and stadiums, you can discover London's sporting side. If you are a football fan, head toward Arsenal Museum, which features a self-guided audio tour. A few other football clubs in and around London include Chelsea FC and Fulham FC. If football isn't your thing, visit the Marylebone Cricket Club Museum and take a Lord's tour as well. If you would like to engage in some sporting activity yourself, head to the nearest park or stadium, where you can join local youth who are always ready to kick some balls.

Your flight may land at one of the many airports that are located in and around London. The most famous of these airports are Heathrow and Gatwick. If you land at Heathrow, the Heathrow Express is the cheapest and fastest option to reach London. From Gatwick, the Gatwick Express brings you to Victoria Station in half an hour. Luton Airport is much farther away, and a train journey normally takes 40 minutes to reach central neighborhoods. If you happen to land at either Southend or Stansted, be prepared to spend at least an hour in trains to reach Central London. Note that flights from London to Istanbul may take off from any of these airports.
