Miami is an important cultural, financial and administrative centre of Miami-Dade County. The main airport is Miami International Airport (MIA) ranked 1st in international freight and 2nd in international passengers among US airports. It has four runways and two terminals with several concourses to accommodate arriving and departing passengers. The airport handles 44 million passengers in a year. MIA offers practical facilities for visitors including lounges, nursing suites and restaurants. A Cell Phone Parking area with 60 spaces is available as well as 8,233 parking spaces. There is also a hotel on site, MIA Hotel, with 259 rooms convenient for those with early morning flights or layovers in the city.

Getting to Miami airport

MIA is accessible in several ways, but the most comfortable means is to take a taxi from your hotel to the airport. An inexpensive option is to book shuttle transfers that you can do online or from your accommodation. By Metrobus, hop on routes 7, 37, 42, 57, 150, 238 or 297 from major shopping and business centres in downtown Miami. If using the Metrorail, use the Orange Line from Dadeland South to MIA. There is a Metromover (free electric rail that replaced shuttle buses) at each station that will take you to the terminals. Other ways to arrive at MIA include shared ride vans and limousine services.

Getting to Los Angeles

Los Angeles must be experienced slowly to truly enjoy its many offerings, from world-class museums to architectural treasures. Indulge yourself with lots of dining options from food trucks to popular markets. Enjoy delightful fine weather all-year round and head to the beaches or chill out at boardwalks from Venice to Malibu. Shopaholics will have no problem splurging for Los Angeles has great shopping, particularly in Melrose and Robertson. For a nature trip, drive down Laurel Canyon or cruise along the Pacific Coast Highway. Getting to the city centre

The main airport in LA is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This is where passengers on flights from Miami to Los Angeles will disembark. LAX Shuttle and Air Connections connect travelers to LAX Parking Lot C where you will find the LAX City Bus centre or the Metro Green Line train. LAX FlyAway Buses depart from the terminals to Union Station in the city centre, as well as Long Beach and Hollywood. You can also avail of shuttles offered by hotels and they can be found at the Lower/Arrivals levels. Other means of reaching downtown LA include taxis, rental cars and shared ride vans.
