The city of Milan is within the Lombardy region and is one of the most populous cities in the country. There are three airports serving the air travel needs of commuters in the city. Milan Malpensa is the primary international airport and it has two terminals connected by a shuttle service. Its shopping area at the terminals covers over 7,250 sqm with more than 74 stores and eateries. Milan Linate is the secondary airport of the city, handling both domestic and international flights. There are several shops, restaurants and bars at the airport. The third airport in the area is Milan Bergamo Airport, which is the farthest from Milan city.

Getting to Bucharest

Romania's capital is a delightful mixture of the old and the new. Gawk at the world's 'heaviest building', the Palace of the Parliament, a symbol of the Communist era. Do not miss the Memorial of Rebirth, a baffling marble obelisk that sits on Revolution Square. There are also treasures to be discovered from art nouveau villas to 18th-century churches. When you're done with museums and landmarks, there are many trendy cafes where you can hang out and verdant parks in which to relax. You will certainly need to recharge as there are loads of things going on at night so prepare to party, hit the bars or enjoy a fine meal at a restaurant.

Getting to the city centre

Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport is where commuters on flights from Milan to Bucharest will land. It is about 16.5 km from the airport to the city. Passengers can take a taxicab from the rank found outside of the arrivals terminal. If you wish to take the bus, the 783 Express line departs from the airport every 40 minutes bound for the city. Trains are other means to reach downtown Bucharest. Buses are available to take passengers to the CFR Airport Stop. From there, Henri Coanda Express trains leave for Bucharest North Railway Station. It is also possible to rent a car from the airport and drive to the centre.
