To and from the airports

Flights from New York

New York is a huge metropolis consisting of five boroughs. There are three airports that serve the city with John F. Kennedy International Airport being the primary one. JFK is one of the busiest airports in the world and an important cargo centre. It is capable of handling 56.8 million passengers annually for more than 70 airlines across its four terminals. The airport has several retail concessions and restaurants in addition to lounges, ATMs and parking lots. La Guardia is the second most important airport in NYC handling up to 28.4 million passengers, while Newark Liberty International Airport, the 3rd important airport for NYC, welcomes 37.5 million.

Getting to New York airport

Getting to all three airports is easy. To reach JFK, you can arrange for a taxi, limousine or van ride service as well as drive back your rental car. The MTA bus, subway and Long Island Railroad can also connect you to JFK. La Guardia is reachable via MTA bus routes Q47, Q72, Q48 and Q70 SBS from central Queens and Manhattan. Other ways to get to the airport include taxis, car services and shared rides, while the most practical way to reach Newark Liberty is to get on an Amtrak train from NYC. Buses, taxis and private shuttles also go to the airport.

Getting to Las Vegas

Las Vegas is one of those places that will keep you coming back simply because it is irresistible and you will love everything about it. The moment you land, there is no doubt that this is a gaming city. However, there is more to Vegas than just opulent casinos in which you can lose yourself. There are also museums to explore, theme parks for the entire family and breathtaking canyons to scale. At night, there is no dearth of stuff to do, from watching shows and comedy acts, upping the stakes on the tables, dancing in clubs, cruising The Strip in a limo or just enjoying several rounds of drinks at a bar.

Getting to the city centre

McCarran International Airport is the main airport in the city and this is where commuters on flights from New York to Las Vegas will deplane. There are a variety of ground transport options available for passengers. A large number of taxis operate at the airport that can take you to various locations in the city. If you have a rental car, The Strip is just two miles away. Downtown, which is 15 miles away, can be reached using the I125, Russell Road or Tropicana Avenue. Travel alternatives include shuttle services, limousines and ride share arrangements. If using the public bus, take routes 108 and 109.
