If your flight is taking off from Fiumicino Airport, you can board Trenitalia's Leonardo Express at Termini Station. The journey takes just 30 minutes. There are also buses and taxis available to the airport from all corners of the city. If your flight is leaving from Ciampino Airport, consider yourself lucky as it is located just 12 kilometers from Rome's historical center. The easiest way to get to this airport is by taking a bus from outside the Termini railway station.

Your Rome to Santorini flight will land at Santorini National Airport, nearly seven kilometers from Fira's town center. Fira, which is the capital of Santorini island, serves as a good base to explore the rest of the island and nearby islets. To get to Fira city center from the airport, take one of the scheduled buses from the airport. The journey takes nearly 30 minutes to reach downtown Fira. There are usually five buses a day to Fira city center, but unscheduled trips are possible depending on flight arrivals. Another option is to hail a taxi, which can cost quite a lot.
