Flights from Taipei

Taipei is the modern capital of Taiwan and is populated by more than two million residents. Its main airport, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, serves over 42 million passengers annually. Taoyuan boasts modern terminals and facilities including boutiques and restaurants. There is a 24-hour convenience store on the premises. A lactation and nursery room is available, complete with cots and changing tables. Other practical services include hot/cold shower rooms, banks and a post office. The second airport serving Taipei is Songshan Airport which caters to domestic flights and some international ones. It has comfortable facilities and services such as stores, lounges and restaurants. A breastfeeding room and nursing clinic are available on the premises.

Getting to Taipei airport

Taoyuan International Airport is well-connected to the city's transportation network. High speed trains offer an efficient way to reach the airport, in addition to buses that also serve various regions. For faster connections, travelers can book a taxi, tour bus, private transfer or use a car rental. If driving, get on National Highway 1, connect to National Highway 2 via the Dayuan Interchange then follow the signs to the airport. To get to Songshan Airport, passengers can use inter-city and city buses from Taipei city. The MRT (metro rail) is another transport option. Other methods to arrive at Songshan include taxis, rental cars and private shuttles.

Getting to Tokyo

Japan's capital is a modern city renowned for many things, from efficient trains and high rises to endless shopping and tasty food. Tokyo is also a city that lives in the present while hanging on to its traditions and history. Visit the Imperial Palace and admire its 17th-century parks. Pay your respects at solemn temples and shrines such as the delicate Senso-ji Temple. Peek into the local culture and explore superb museums. Getting to the city centre

There are two airports in Tokyo for passengers on flights from Taipei to Tokyo. Narita Airport caters mostly to international flights, while Haneda Airport receives a mixture of both domestic and foreign arrivals/departures. To get to Tokyo from Narita, you can use trains (Skyliner and Narita Express) and the High-Speed Bus. Should you opt to take a taxi, there are taxi stands outside all the terminals. Haneda Airport, on the other hand, is closer to Tokyo. To reach the city, you can hop on trains on the Keikyu Line or the Monorail Line. Buses and taxis are other ways to reach Tokyo from Haneda. Shuttle buses are also available to connect passengers to domestic terminals.
