From Zurich Airport, you can connect to a large number of domestic and international destinations across the world. The airport is the major gateway into Zurich and it handles millions of passengers every year. Often referred to as Kloten Airport, it consists of three runways and three terminals: A, B and E. The airport also features extensive airport services for traveler's ease and pleasure. Swiss and KLM are the major non-stop carrier for flights from Zurich to Amsterdam. Transavia and Easyjet also fly the route from Zurich Airport. With flights taking around 1 hour and 40 minutes, it's a fast and straightforward journey.

Getting to Zurich airport

It is easy and quick to get to Zurich Airport, which is approximately 10km from the city centre. There are several transport options from Zurich to the airport. You can take the train from the main station in the city centre to Zurich Airport. The train runs daily about every 10 minutes from around 5:00am - 0:30am the next morning. There are InterCity and regional trains as well as the S-Bahn lines S16 and S2, which run to the main station in the city centre. Alternatively, you can catch the 7x7 shuttle buses from the city centre to the airport. You can conveniently get to the airport by taxi.

Getting to Amsterdam

Getting to the city centre

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the main airport serving the city and is where Zurich flights will land. It's easy and quick to get to the city centre from Schiphol Airport. There is a railway station underneath the airport, inside the terminal. Upon arrival, you can purchase a ticket from the airport vending machines located inside the Schiphol Plaza and go straight to the railway station. From there, you can catch a train to the city centre. The train runs 24-hours and the journey to the city takes around 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can take the Connexxion Hotel Shuttle bus to any of the city's major hotels. Taxis are also available for transfer to the city.
