It is one of the lowest airports in the world, standing only 4.5 meters below sea level. Besides restaurants and shops, you will find showers, a travel clinic, banks, baby care facilities and meeting rooms at the airport.

Getting to Amsterdam airport

Taxis are the most convenient forms of transport to reach the airport if you have several bags. You can book your airport transfers through your hotels or arrange shuttles. The NS Dutch Railways are also efficient and you can use the train to get to the airport in as little as 15 minutes. You can catch these trains at the Central Railway Station. Another way to get to the airport is to hop on the Amsterdam Airport Express or Bus No. 197 which you can catch at Museumplein or Leidseplein. To drive your rented vehicle back to the airport, use A4 and follow signs to the airport.

Getting to Los Angeles

Getting to the city centre

Passengers who are on flights from Amsterdam to Los Angeles will land at Los Angeles International Airport. To get to downtown LA, you have the option of taking (yellow) taxis which can be found at the curb side of the Arrivals Hall. If you plan to take the bus, board the 'Lot C' shuttle that will take you to the Metro Bus centre. At the Lower/Arrivals level, passengers can make use of door-to-door van services. Other convenient ways of reaching LA's centre include Transport Network Companies (TNC) such as Uber and Lfyt or rental cars. Note that rental car companies are located outside of airport premises.
