To and from the airports

Flights from Brussels

Belgium's capital, Brussels, is one of the most important cities in Europe, thanks to its status of being the de facto capital of the European Union. Brussels is served by Brussels Airport, which is located close to the city center. Some flights may also take off from Brussels South Charleroi Airport, which is 46 kilometers away from the city center.

Majorca flights may take off from either Brussels Airport or Brussels South Charleroi Airport. Brussels Airport has served passengers to and from Belgium since 1940, when it began its operations. Brussels South Charleroi Airport is mostly used by budget airlines and is far away from the city.

Getting to Brussels airport

Your flight to Palma, Majorca, may leave from either Brussels Airport or from the more distant Brussels South Charleroi Airport. If you are leaving from Brussels Airport, arrive at Brussels-South railway station from the Grand Place and catch the airport train. Another option is to take the Airport Line bus, which connects the city center with Brussels Airport. If you are leaving from Charleroi Airport, hop on a coach service-run bus that departs from Brussels-South railway station. You may also choose to hire taxis to both the airports, and they are a quick and convenient way to get to your airport if you are running late.

Getting to Palma de Mallorca

Palma is the capital of Majorca and is known for its sunny climate, beautiful cathedrals and medieval streets. Begin your day at La Seu, a gigantic cathedral where a mosque stood in ancient times. Behind the cathedral, you will find the Old City, which is known for its labyrinthine streets that take you back to the city's Arab past. Take a tour to the Valldemossa village, which is known for its authentic Majorcan cuisine and medieval buildings. Explore the various resorts and beaches that dot the Majorcan coastline. Discover Majorca's bustling nightlife at Megaluf, where some world-renowned DJs perform.

Arriving to the city centre

Flights from Brussels to Palma, Majorca, land at Palma de Mallorca Airport, which is just 9 kilometers from downtown Palma. Once you reach the airport, walk outside and take EMT's Line 1 bus, which takes you to the city center. There are also taxis available outside the airport, which ferry passengers to Palma city center and its port. There are several boat services to various nearby islands such as Ibiza from Palma port. Onward train journeys from Palma to other towns and villages in Majorca can be completed by buses or TIB trains. Pre-booked taxis offer an alternative to private taxis which - though easily available - may prove to be a hassle when you arrive.
