Flights from Paris

Paris is often the first destination considered by those seeking a romantic getaway. Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly are the two major airports serving the city. Paris-Charles de Gaulle is the main hub for the nation's flag carrier, Air France. The airport is one of the busiest and largest in Europe. Paris-Orly is also a busy airport and it handles flights to European and local destinations. Air France, Wizzair, and Tarom operate direct flights from Paris to Bucharest from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Lufthansa, Swiss, KLM, Austrian and Air Serbia operate connecting flights to Bucharest via Munich, Zurich, Amsterdam, Vienna and Belgrade respectively.

Getting to Paris airport

With a range of transport options, getting to Paris airports should not be a problem. Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) is located approximately 23km northeast of the city centre, and Paris-Orly Airport is located about 14km from south of the city. You can take the RER B train service from central Paris to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. RATP bus – Roissybus or Air France coaches are available for transfer from the city centre to CDG. If you are flying from Paris-Orly, you can take the OrlyVal train from Anthony station in the city to Orly's south or west terminals. Taxis are also a convenient means to get to the airports.

Getting to Bucharest

The city of Bucharest is a great blend of historical eras. Taking a walk through the city is like travelling back in time through years of ancient history. Experience Bucharest by exploring Calea Victoriei, the oldest and most appealing avenue in the city. Since its construction in 1692, the street has remained a beautiful attraction and is now one of the most stylish in Bucharest. You can visit the Cantacuzino Palace, which houses the George Enescu museum. The palace is the former home of the Prime Minister, Grigore Cantacuzino. Visit the Palace of Parliament, which is located close to Piata Unirii and enjoy the views of the city from its rooftop terrace.

Getting to the city centre

You can either catch a bus or take a taxi to get to the city centre from Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport or Aurel Vlaicu International Airport. The Express Bus 783 runs from the airport to the city centre approximately every 20 minutes daily. The airport shuttle bus is available at the airport arrivals from transfer to the nearest railway station, where you can continue your journey. From Aurel Vlaicu airport, you can take the RATB bus to several parts of the city. The most convenient way to get to the city centre is by taking a taxi.
