The principal airport in the city is Sofia Airport, which is a busy transport hub handling over four million passengers annually. The airport is easy to reach using different means of transport. A taxi is the most comfortable option to reach the airport and can be booked easily online or through hotels. Private transfers are also possible. By public transport, use Metro line 1 from the city centre. It will take you 18 minutes to reach the airport. Bus lines 84 from Gen. Gurko and 384 from Druzhba 2 will take you to the airport. Travel time is roughly 40 minutes if using route 84 and 20-25 minutes on line 384 so make sure to give yourself enough time for the journey.

If you are booked on flights from Sofia to Paris, you are going to arrive at one of two airports serving the city. Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport is the main airport located 25km north of Paris. It has good connections to public transport. By train, take RER B and SNCF Main Lines. Le Bus Direct lines 2, 3 and 4 all go to Paris city, as does Roissybus. Taxis and car rentals are alternatives. Paris-Orly Airport is the secondary airport in the city. To reach Paris from there, you can take trains, RER B and C and Tramway 7. Taxis, buses and shuttle services will also take you to the city centre.
