Flights from Warsaw

As one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe, Warsaw, has something to offer everyone. The city has two major airports: Warsaw-Modlin Mazovia Airport and Warsaw Chopin Airport. The two airports handle a large number of both domestic and international passengers every year. Chopin Airport is the larger airport and it features excellent services and facilities. Flights from Warsaw to Prague are inexpensive and frequent. LOT and Czech Airlines fly non-stop from Warsaw Chopin Airport to Prague airport; Austrian, Lufthansa and Air Berlin fly connecting flights via Vienna, Munich and Berlin. With numerous options at the airport, you can easily get a great deal if you can book your flight in advance.

Getting to Warsaw airport

It's pretty easy to get to Warsaw airports from the city centre. Transfers to the airport are rapid with train journeys, taking around 20 minutes from the city centre. If you are travelling to the airport by train, you should go to Warszawa Zachodnia station in the city centre, buy your ticket and hop on the S1 or S2 train to Warsaw Chopin Airport. The train services to the airport operate about every 15 minutes. If you are flying from Warsaw-Modlin Mazovia, you can catch a ModlinBus express shuttle from several bus stations in the city such as W?oc?awek, ?ód?, Toru?, Bydgoszcz or P?ock to the airport terminal.

Getting to Prague

Prague is steeped in culture and history and features a wide range of Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic architecture. The city has a unique vibe, which blends its modern art and music with its ancient history and culture. Prague is renowned for its beers; you can go on a microbrewery tour in the city's premier beer garden, a unique location with an amazing view and calm vibe.

The city's Old Town is a World Heritage site with its numerous cozy cafes and boundless cobblestoned streets. The Old Town Square is a popular spot in the city and it features a range of tourist attractions like the 12th-century Astronomical Clock, St. Nicholas Church and Týn Church.

Getting to the city centre

Václav Havel Airport Prague is the major airport serving the city and it is located about 18km northwest of the city centre. For an onward journey from the airport, you can take advantage of public transport or a taxi. Bus No. 119 runs from the airport to the Dejvicka metro station in the city. There are some airport express buses at the airport, which operate from the airport to the city's major train station, Hlavini Nadrazi, in the city centre. If you plan to explore the city and beyond, you can hire a car from one of the major car rental companies at the airport.
