Wizz Air (W6), also written wizzair, is a Hungarian low cost airline with headquarters at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The company was founded in 2003 in London. The Hungarian airline operates low cost flights to 66 destinations in Europe and Asia. Similar to the budget carrier Ryanair, Wizzair prefers to fly to smaller, secondary airports outside of larger cities.
Web check-in is available from 14 days to 3 hours before scheduled flight departure. If you want to check-in at the airport you will have to choose that option during booking and pay a fee of €10. If you do not pay this fee and arrive at the airport without your boarding pass you will be charged a higher fee of €20 to check-in.
Passengers who have checked-in online and are traveling with checked baggage, must present themselves at the baggage drop-off counter at least 40 minutes before scheduled flight departure. If you arrive at the bag drop-off counter and you do not have your printed boarding pass you will have to pay a €40 boarding pass re-issue fee.
All Wizz Air passengers must present valid travel documents at check-in. Passengers flying within the EU with non-EU travel documents must present themselves at the Wizz Air check-in desks to have their documents checked and stamped before flying. Non-EU passengers without the stamp will not be allowed to board.
All passengers are allowed one small piece of cabin baggage to fit under the seat in front of them with maximum dimensions 42 x 32 x 25cm. For €10 passengers may bring a larger piece of cabin baggage to place in the overhead compartment with maximum dimensions of 56 x 45 x 25cm.
To check baggage with Wizz Air there is an extra fee. Passengers can check up to 6 bags with a maximum weight of 32kg each. Prices are significantly lower when you pay for checked luggage online instead of at the airport. Prices to check bags vary depending upon the flight time. For exact pricing information, visit the Wizz Air website.

Everything was really easy and great.
Very bad boarding in Budapest, took too long in cold conditions, outside, with small delay, letting us standing outiside waiting for bus without any reason, no information for passengers. 4 times showing boarding pass and ID... And in Thessaloniki, flight was delayed for 2 hours
The itiniary did not include clear guidlince regarding on board baggage. As a result additional fee of 25euro per person per direction was paid in order to be able to get a trolly bag on board. Effectively this was an increase of 20% to the flight cost.
many hidden costs, rude staff, delay with no explanation, only after boarding, disorderly and uncomfortable boarding
I paid extra for Wizz Priority to allow us a 32 k"g and a trolly. We were forced to carry the trolly to the cabin instead of checking it in . This caused us problems at security and we had to throw away several new bottles of cosmetics! We think that the position of Wizz was totally stupid! Other airlines encourage you to check in your laggage to allow more space in the cabin.
My experience was bad, you did not help , it’s tge last time i reserve
No basic flight When we try again to look price it is incrise more
The price was very high
it was ok, thanks
Crew bags were taking up the lockers for my seat, so I had to put my small bag way back in the plane, sitting in the first row so on landing I had to wait for most people to leave the plane before I could get to my bag.
Experience through airport procedures a nightmare! Confusion reigns supreme. It took me well over 2 stressful hours to go through check-in and security checks and almost cost me losing my flight!
No one has informed us that we would have had an extra charge of 35 euros each for check-in!
Late taking off outbound and 30 mins late arriving Viennese. 30 mins late taking off inbound but pilot made up the time and landed in Malaga on time.
constant changes of dates and times of the flights
