Wizz Air (W6), also written wizzair, is a Hungarian low cost airline with headquarters at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The company was founded in 2003 in London. The Hungarian airline operates low cost flights to 66 destinations in Europe and Asia. Similar to the budget carrier Ryanair, Wizzair prefers to fly to smaller, secondary airports outside of larger cities.
Web check-in is available from 14 days to 3 hours before scheduled flight departure. If you want to check-in at the airport you will have to choose that option during booking and pay a fee of €10. If you do not pay this fee and arrive at the airport without your boarding pass you will be charged a higher fee of €20 to check-in.
Passengers who have checked-in online and are traveling with checked baggage, must present themselves at the baggage drop-off counter at least 40 minutes before scheduled flight departure. If you arrive at the bag drop-off counter and you do not have your printed boarding pass you will have to pay a €40 boarding pass re-issue fee.
All Wizz Air passengers must present valid travel documents at check-in. Passengers flying within the EU with non-EU travel documents must present themselves at the Wizz Air check-in desks to have their documents checked and stamped before flying. Non-EU passengers without the stamp will not be allowed to board.
All passengers are allowed one small piece of cabin baggage to fit under the seat in front of them with maximum dimensions 42 x 32 x 25cm. For €10 passengers may bring a larger piece of cabin baggage to place in the overhead compartment with maximum dimensions of 56 x 45 x 25cm.
To check baggage with Wizz Air there is an extra fee. Passengers can check up to 6 bags with a maximum weight of 32kg each. Prices are significantly lower when you pay for checked luggage online instead of at the airport. Prices to check bags vary depending upon the flight time. For exact pricing information, visit the Wizz Air website.

I want to sue Wizz air for improper charge
it was ok, thanks
Crew bags were taking up the lockers for my seat, so I had to put my small bag way back in the plane, sitting in the first row so on landing I had to wait for most people to leave the plane before I could get to my bag.
Experience through airport procedures a nightmare! Confusion reigns supreme. It took me well over 2 stressful hours to go through check-in and security checks and almost cost me losing my flight!
No one has informed us that we would have had an extra charge of 35 euros each for check-in!
Late taking off outbound and 30 mins late arriving Viennese. 30 mins late taking off inbound but pilot made up the time and landed in Malaga on time.
constant changes of dates and times of the flights
Low cost????? More expensive than the schedules airlines....all is ++++++++++ Whizz 3 hrs late, Blue Air 1Hr late
Sorry to say that the whole system is run by unprofessionals
It is not fair to sell "cheep" tickets and than charge 50% in addition for check in. Off course it eas written somewhere with small letters in the way that the customer doesnnot see it. For that rrason I diubt that I will choose wizzair if I have other possibility, even if itbis more expensive. I simple hate cheeting.
unacceptable departure and arrival delays. Apparently this is an everyday occurrence with their flight Malta - Skopje. In Malta, the incoming aircraft is made to wait till all passengers have disembarked and allowed into the country before it can take off again for the return leg, so that if someone tries to enter without all papers in order he can re-board the plane and go back to Skopje, having left all outgoing passengers waiting on board for some two hours. Totally unacceptable.
Unfortunately I and my two travelcompanions have had a very unpleasent experience travelling with your flightcompany from Belgrade to Malmø. After our booking we have received a ton of emails from you, but in none of them has it been made clear, that we would have to pay 35 euros each to check in at the airport if we do so later than 3 hours prior to our flight. I have never heard of such a procedure before, and I find it to be extremely rude and in no way okay, as it is a hidden cost that you should have made clear (or should not have at all, since it is part of having a flightcompany that your costumers can check in bearing in mind that we already paid a 33 euros "service"fee just for purchasing our ticket). We spend a long time trying to find a solution with your staff, who wanted to help us, but could not since it was not their decision but "Wizzair procedure" to charge for check in. Reading your magazine "Wizz magazine" June-July 2018 edition, on the airplane you write on page 144 that "there are no hidden costs" when using your company. If I and my two travelcompanions do not get a refund for your check in fee - 105 euros - , I will consider the above mentioned statement in the magazine a lie and we will never use your company again. Also I would in that case have to advise people against using your company, since Wizzair in my opinion then would be a company seeking to scam people for their money. I hereby claim that you should reimburse us 105 euros. Otherwise we will need to use social medias to reach people from Denmark and abroad to advise them not to #WIZZaroundEurope. We will of course give you the benefit of the doubt and hope that this is just a misunderstanding, and that we will receive our money back so that we can once again trust and use your company. WizzAir - an expensive 'low cost' airline! I was disappointed to learn after the purchase of my ticket that we have to pay extra money for bringing a hand luggage into the cabin.
very bad unbelievable bad scheiße alles
Felt taken advantage of in multiple ways. Hidden airport fees and ludicrous baggage costs.
