British Airways (BA) was founded in 1973 and is the UK's largest international airline based on fleet size and number of international destinations. The airline has a fleet of over 255 aircraft and offers routes to more than 165 destinations. The airline's two main hubs are located in London's two major airports, Heathrow and Gatwick. In January 2011, British Airways and Iberia officially merged creating the International Airlines Group (IAG), the world's third largest airline in terms of annual revenue. The airline has partnerships and agreements with numerous companies including American Airlines, and being a founding member of Oneworld alliance, British Airways is able to operate a network that covers more than 600 destinations. The company also has agreements with independent airlines based in the United Kingdom, which fly under British Airways name, flight code and company conditions. i could not make it.i was very unwell.i went to a local hospital and i was very well looked after.i went home and slept.i have been stressed out with work and i cant remember even booking the flight on british airways.sonieponie
Disaster from start to finish, wrong gates posted 3 times, no gate once ( Madrid) zMy luggage in Spain with me in London. As we were travelling my luggage was not opened until this morning and the following was missing, I pad, car camera, 2 tv box sets, a battery operated hard skin remover this had to happen in transit as the strap I had on my case was also missingBarnie
British airways flight was perfect. Aircraft seats were very comfortable, service was good, air hosts behaviour was very good. Ryanair flight was okay. I had to wait for 60 minutes at the check in queue which was not pleasant. I understand it is a low cost airline but the aircrafts are not as efficient and passenger friendly as one would expect. Air hosts were friendly.Nicoletta
General comment on all airlines with whom I have flown recently:- Still many passengers using their telephones mid flight to send and receive texts, using the subterfuge of 'airline mode'. Passengers at the back of the aircraft being allowed by airline staff to place their hand baggage near the front of the aeroplane and NOT close to where they are sitting.Tim
They charged us 65 pounds for a bag. I never saw anywhere that we coud not take a luggage with us. That was very disappointing. The food in the airplane was really bad as well.Lilit
Ground services in zrh were ok. But the special assistance I had pre ordered at Heathrow was abysmal. It took more than an hour for anyone to appear, was dumped in a cold, draughty waiting area: nowhere to get so much as a warm drink. That I had a driver waiting was of no interest at all. Very disappointed.Hispeedlady
i had a bad experience- turned up late for my flight which is my own fault- the check in had closed and when I asked for help the person at the check in desk told me he couldn't help as was going "off shift"- he then told me to go to the BA help desk and I went there and it was closed. there was no help or sympathy from BA. I had to go to the TAP desk to purchase a new flightEmma
Excellent service, including a sandwich and coffee! BA should add extra toilet for economy passengersMike
Great inflight service, but disappointed that we were diverted to Heathrow as didnt have functioning equipment on the plane that would allow us to land in fog at Gatwick. Also, family had no way of contacting Gatwick to find out where plane had been diverted to as all Gatwick and BA help desks were closedfreddy
Online check-in was a nightmare due to mistakes in the registry of my name. I would have been helpful to have a telephone service available.conferencetraveller
British airways change my flight at last time, I had to pay a lot for change to another airport more that 90£ in a taxi , Glasgow to HeathrowDumdum357
I thought I was flying with BA. I did not expect to get bumped off on to a third rate company. I would not have booked this flight if I had known it was not BA. It has to be the most appallingly organised flight this year and it HAS to be made very clear that you will not fly BA. Absolutely atrocious!Mike
We flew out with Qatar, and returned with BA. The Qatar flight was average, with pretty but unhelpful staff and mediocre food on an unimpressive aircraft. BA staff on the return leg were great, my son's kiddy meal delighted him, and it was a new 320 airbus.Twiney
I did not notice that the return flight was out of Gatwick between London and Nice on route home. A 3 hour window of layover time is simply not enough time to get to Gatwick in time. Customs to when arriving to Heahtrow on return flight took 1 hour. This caused me to miss my bus at 1:06 to get to Gatwick by 2:06. I got out of customs by 1:20. The next bus was at 1:40pm to arrive between 2:40 and 3pm from Heathrow to Gatwick. My flight from Gatwick to Nice was at 3:05. I missed my flight. Neither British Airways nor Qatar Airways was willing to reimburse or do anything for me. I ended up spending $40 US dollars on bus to Gatwick, $70 for a hotel overnight, $100 on flight next day. So, I really got burned with an additional $220 to my costs of travel.Corinne
I had a lot of problems because you had put the wrong name on the booking. Therefore I could not get in to the system with ref 6E3VK9. You had put my first names attached together, Erikanders instead of Haggo therefore BA told me that we were not on the flight. Impossible to contact you so I had to buy a new ticket from BA. When I got your information on the morning of departure and saw the name you had used I did get in but am now in the process of trying to get my ticket bought from BA. Who will compensate me for your mistake?Anders
The offer for Flight+Hotel was good, but the price of the hotel alone was lower if booked via other Websites, and not as a part of a package.Marina
LHR is a nightmare. Long long walks from gate to gate. Security is onerous. Despite being in-transit had to go through the same kind of security as in NY on departure.Joe
Little time between flights barely made it to check in. Almost 40 euros spend to go from one airport to other.Branimir
I paid you guys for a bag when I get to check in they can't find that I paid for a bag and had to pay 100.00 euro for the bag.. I also missed the flight because I was looking at the board for boarding information and nothing came up. I was told after that the board is not working and they Aldo changed gate. The board was working because I saw many flight saying when it was being boadedVivian
Reallly bad experience from the reservation point of view and the handling of British Aiways. Totally disappointment. Price was right but the experienced ruined it!Miguel
