British Airways (BA) was founded in 1973 and is the UK's largest international airline based on fleet size and number of international destinations. The airline has a fleet of over 255 aircraft and offers routes to more than 165 destinations. The airline's two main hubs are located in London's two major airports, Heathrow and Gatwick. In January 2011, British Airways and Iberia officially merged creating the International Airlines Group (IAG), the world's third largest airline in terms of annual revenue. The airline has partnerships and agreements with numerous companies including American Airlines, and being a founding member of Oneworld alliance, British Airways is able to operate a network that covers more than 600 destinations. The company also has agreements with independent airlines based in the United Kingdom, which fly under British Airways name, flight code and company conditions. It also offers code share routes with other airlines. BA Cityflyer, British Midland International (BMI), OpenSkies, and British Airways World Cargo are subsidiary airlines owned by British Airways.

Excessive number of 'boarding categories' when flight called to board - appreciate commercial value but it would appear to delay overall progress of boarding.GMol
i had a bad experience- turned up late for my flight which is my own fault- the check in had closed and when I asked for help the person at the check in desk told me he couldn't help as was going "off shift"- he then told me to go to the BA help desk and I went there and it was closed. there was no help or sympathy from BA. I had to go to the TAP desk to purchase a new flightEmma
They charged us 65 pounds for a bag. I never saw anywhere that we coud not take a luggage with us. That was very disappointing. The food in the airplane was really bad as well.Lilit
There was a delay of 2h30 for the flight, which mean no subway in London when we arrived at midnight.an unhappy customer
British airways flight was perfect. Aircraft seats were very comfortable, service was good, air hosts behaviour was very good. Ryanair flight was okay. I had to wait for 60 minutes at the check in queue which was not pleasant. I understand it is a low cost airline but the aircrafts are not as efficient and passenger friendly as one would expect. Air hosts were friendly.Nicoletta
Ground services in zrh were ok. But the special assistance I had pre ordered at Heathrow was abysmal. It took more than an hour for anyone to appear, was dumped in a cold, draughty waiting area: nowhere to get so much as a warm drink. That I had a driver waiting was of no interest at all. Very disappointed.Hispeedlady
Great inflight service, but disappointed that we were diverted to Heathrow as didnt have functioning equipment on the plane that would allow us to land in fog at Gatwick. Also, family had no way of contacting Gatwick to find out where plane had been diverted to as all Gatwick and BA help desks were closedfreddy
I could not change or select my seat until 24 hours prior to flying all window and aisle seats were taken, this takes BA off the list. I had a seat with the bulkhead behind me and my seat could not recline fully, but the person in front seat could, so a face full of seat the whole way for 11+hours - worst flight everHiggy
terrible, cost me over 400 euros, bad advice - long waiting times. I will be complaining to everyone i can.enightmare
My flight was cancelled, and it was very difficult finding someone to talk to to claim a refund. The website was useless and I was on hold forever.Lo
Flights on time, all full but efficient service. As is usual with economy class the leg room was inadequate. The airline spends so much in enhancing the other classes and neglects economy - the class many people travel by out of necessity.Owebs
On return trip from LAX to Dublin we were to fly Aer Lingus back to Ireland and thought our flight was to be from Heathrow as we had made this trip many times with other airlines and found out in LAX that we had to fly out of Gatwick and not Heathrow. This caused us to get out luggage in Heathrow, take the bus to Gatwick and pay and extra 50 Pounds for transport. I hadn't checked my flight details when I got them and assumed Heathrow was where we would fly from. My wife has health issues and was upset because of this change as it caused her to carry several heavy bags between Heathrow airport the central bus station and then in Gatwick. The overall flight was good, but I will fly another airline in the future because of this change.Todd
LHR got very stressfull on the return leg. The gate is not anounced until very late. We had to walk (and go by train) a very long distance to the gate. Very stressful.Deepthroat Junoir
Easy to organise online, particularly important when in a foreign country where language can be difficult to negotiate .Cass
I didn't go Tried to cancel but it's too hard and poor service Will never book again thru you ThanksMaamoun Milyani
I coulnd not get in to airplane as British Airways clerk left the counter 10 minutes earlier than normal time and I could not get my boarding pass printed so I missed the flight because of their stupid mistake!!!!!mbsengun
What I can say when due to mechanical failure of the plane we travel 3 nights until our final destinations and our luggages lost .....christos
return was bad. in helsinki i couldn't get boarding card to LON - DUB flight and assistants couldn't say why, just reason X. After end I found out that the flight was cancelled due to weather. So because no one bother to reschedule flight in advance, I needed to queue and wonder what has happened. Not good experience, not good end for holiday._K
I would love to go back to Jersey, but the flight times are ridiculously early, our return flight to Riga was 6pm so we had to spend all day at Gatwick, a middayish flight would have been better. We might try ferry next time.sweetypie
from Paris, we have had few hours delays and the consequence was that the next flight from London to HK has been posponded few hours later. Which was pity as my journey in HK was too short, just 24hrs. otherwise in general ,the service on board was fine ;Laurence
