Book Air China flights

Founded in 1988, Air China Limited (CA) is the flag carrier of the People's Republic of China. Their headquarters are at Beijing Capital International Airport with hubs at four other Chinese airports: Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The airline flies to 185 destinations across Europe, Africa, America and Asia. Since 2006, Air China has been a member of the Star Alliance and has code share agreements with many airlines. The Air China frequent-flyer program is called Phoenix Miles.

Air China offers the option to check-in online. Passengers can choose their seat, accumulate miles, and print their boarding passes. Web check-in is available from 2:00pm every day for same-day or next-day flights.

The maximum dimensions for all cabin baggage are 55 x 40 x 20cm. The amount of carry-on baggage allowed per passenger depends on the route and the class of travel:

Domestic flights:

• Economy and Business Classes: 1 small bag, maximum weight 5kg
• First Class: 2 small bags, maximum weight 5kg each

International and Regional flights:

• Economy and Business Classes: 1 small bag, maximum weight 5kg
• First Class: 2 small bags, maximum weight 8kg each

Domestic flights:

The maximum dimensions for all standard checked baggage on domestic flights are 100 x 60 x 40cm.

• Economy Class: Maximum weight 20kg
• Business Class: Maximum weight 30kg
• First Class: Maximum weight 40kg

China-Japan routes and routes to/from The Americas:

The maximum dimension for all standard checked baggage 158cm (total of length + width + height).

• Economy Class: 2 pieces, maximum weight 23kg each
• Business and First Class: 2 pieces, maximum weight 32kg each

All other routes:

• The maximum dimension for all standard checked baggage is 158cm (total of length + width + height).
• Economy Class: 1 pieces, maximum weight 23kg
• Premium Economy Class: 1 piece, maximum weight 32kg
• Business and First Class: 2 pieces, maximum weight 32kg each
