Flights from Athens

Athens is the exciting capital of Greece and its biggest city. It is also the location of Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos), the main airport serving the city. It has two runways and two terminals to serve the 18.1 million passengers that go through the airport each year. Athens Airport boasts retail shops, restaurants and banking services. There are 1,360 spaces available for short-term parking and the airport is proud of its electric/plug-in hybrid charging station. At the Main Terminal Building of AIA, a permanent exhibition of archaeological artifacts is on display. Other art events are also held at the airport including temporary expositions.

Getting to Athens airport

Athens Airport is around 17 miles from the city centre. There are several ways to move from downtown Athens to AIA. When using public transport, you can use Metro Line 3 'Aghia Marina – Athens International Airport.' At Athens Central Railway, you can connect to AIA using the suburban rail. If using the bus, take X95 from Syntagma (Athens centre) that will take you to the airport. Regional buses – KTEL Express Service – also operate from other cities to AIA. For those who will be driving to the airport from the port, get on A6/E94 to Attiki Odos/A62 (Spata Loutsa).

Getting to Amsterdam

No one visits Amsterdam and leaves without looking back. With the wealth of attractions, the urban centre is an alluring destination that is, like good wine, leaves a pleasant taste. Stroll through its canal-filled streets, admire the tons of historic buildings or visit its many museums for the masterworks of renowned painters (Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Vermeer). Getting to the city centre

Guests of the city on flights from Athens to Amsterdam will land at Schiphol Airport. The award-winning airport offers several onward journey options. If you have luggage, riding a taxi – found in front of Schiphol Plaza – is the most comfortable option. To board a train, the station is located below the airport at the Schiphol Plaza. Buses can also be found in the same area, as well as city and regional lines and shuttle buses. Take the Amsterdam Airport Express bus 197 for a direct connection to the city. If travelling in a Schiphol Business Taxi, your ride will be waiting for you when you leave the baggage area.
