Paris is the most important city in France and is the official seat of the French government. There are two airports serving passengers and cargo in and out of the metropolis. Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG) is the primary airport with a capacity to serve up to 80 million passengers. It hosts several airlines that serve 319 cities. CDG is a powerful transport hub for Air France-KLM and other SkyTeam alliance airlines. Paris Orly-Airport is the secondary airport and is home to airlines such as Easyjet, Royal Air Maroc and Transavia in addition to Air France. Both airports feature modern amenities and services for the convenience of passengers.
Le Bus Direct lines 2, 3 and 4, routes 19, 350 and 351 and Roissybus serve CDG airport from central Paris. Commuters can also use the rail system, RER B and SNCF Main Lines. The most convenient forms of transport from the city to the airport are taxis, shuttle and shared ride services. To reach Orly Airport, you have the option of using the railway system, RER B and RER C, and Tramway 7. Buses also go to Orly, as do coaches and private vans. Taxicabs are easy alternatives to arrive at the airport from your hotel.
What is there not to like about Venice? With its glorious history, the city never ceases to amaze. An urban centre built on waterways, Venice is simply enchanting with many treasures to offer guests. Ride a gondola and enjoy a different perspective from the water. Admire grand palaces, ornate décor and magnificent art works at museums and cathedrals. If you're in town for the carnival, join the throng of revelers who celebrate the Lenten season. In the evening, join locals as they huddle in squares or banter with friends in bars and pubs. Venice will not fail you whether you are staying for a few days or weeks.
Those who are on flights from Paris to Venice may disembark at one of two airports serving the city. Venice Marco Polo Airport is the main one accommodating both national and international flights. Trains are available to take you to the centre of Venice, but you need to take a taxi or bus to the station (Venezia Mestre line) from the airport. Taxi, chauffeured ride, car share, waterbus or motorboat are other ways to get to the city centre. The second important airport is Treviso Canova. To reach Venice, take the bus ACTT line 6 or taxi to the Venezia Mestre and Treviso train stations.
Car parking too expensive.
