Founded in 1927, Iberia is the first air transport group in Spain. In 1946, Iberia became the first airline to fly between Europe and South America and the pioneer in establishing an air bridge between Barcelona and Madrid.
The company is also a founding member of the Oneworld alliance that spans the globe, offering customers better connections to approximately 700 destinations. Following the merger between Iberia and British Airways, the new airline group to which they belong, International Airlines Group (IAG), was listed on the London Stock Exchange and in the Spanish market (IBEX-35). The IAG headquarters are in Madrid and the financial and operational headquarters in London. In 2011, Iberia founded the airline Iberia Express, based in Madrid Barajas Airport, which offers short and medium-haul flights. Iberia was also the first company to create a frequent flyer program (Iberia Plus), which has over 2.5 million members.
All Iberia passengers can check-in online to reserve their seat and print their boarding pass from 24 hours to 1 hour prior to departure. Passengers without checked luggage that have opted for online check-in can go straight to the boarding gate. Passengers with checked luggage must drop any baggage off at the Iberia counters at the airport at least 45 minutes before flight departure.

Really bad IBERIA service. My father, 85 years old, was at the hospital in San Sebastián, Near Bilbao in Spain. I needed to move my fly back to Zurich, where I live, to Thursday 24.01. IBERIA offered me a change for 180euros, just Madrid-Bilbao, where to purchase a new fly Bilbao-Madrid-Zurich cost me 133 euros. How is this logical? Did not happens to me with Swiss Air and Lufthansa in the past when I needed to change my flight for similar reasons.
I cancelled my ticket
Expensive ticket. On time flights. Easy checking-in and boarding process.
Flight on time.
I was charged an extra 165Euros because I was not able to check in online as there was an issue online stating I had no reservation with Ryanair.com Unsatisfied because of the airline issue stating I had no reservations and I had to pay an extra 165 Euros.
El vuelo estuvo bien
Below average food and very cheap on drinks.
I don't appriciate more than 1,5 hour flight without even a glass of water! And a meal- at least small thing- would be nice-.-
I did not like that we had to pay for all food and I didn’t even get a water during a 3-hour flight.
Most passengers were allowed to pull their bags from the trolley as it was unloaded. However a few of us gentlemen were told to get back and that we would have to retrieve our bags from the carousel. Additionally we were told the incorrect carousel and it took almost an hour to retrieve my bag. I almost missed my connecting flight.
Excellent staff and service
Low Cost Corp. don´t have good services, neither special attention to his clients. Iberia express allow taht people jump the line.
Flying in cattle wagons is unpleasant to say the least but the Aer Lingus flight was bearable because it was half empty and had two inches more knee room.
