Hand Luggage

One piece of hand luggage is allowed. Hand bags, laptops, briefcases, etc. are also counted as one piece. If your bag does not fit the allowed dimensions, there is a €30/£25 fee at check-in and a €50/£40 fee at the boarding gate.

- Maximum dimensions: 56 x 45 x 25cm

- Maximum dimensions of hand luggage guaranteed to fly on-board: 50 x 40 x 20cm

Checked Baggage Allowance

Passengers can pay extra to check one bag up to 20kg. Bags passing the maximum weight allowance are subject to extra weight charges. No bag over 32kg will be accepted due to strict flight regulations. It is best to check bags and buy extra weight online as charges at the airport are considerably higher.

If you only have hand luggage you can go straight to the security check point with your printed easyJet boarding pass. If you are traveling with checked luggage, you must drop it off at the Bag Drop counter at least 40 minutes before flight departure.

As of April 30, 2013 easyJet no longer offers airport check-in. All passengers must check-in online. Airport check-in desks will be strictly for passengers that need to drop off checked luggage.

Gate Closing Policy

The boarding gate closes 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure. Any passengers not present at least 30 minutes before departure will not be allowed to fly.

Travel Documents

You must present an accepted identity card/passport for all flights, including domestic.

Worst flight so far. I travel for work a lot and the staff from checkin to the end was very very impolite. The flight was 25 minutes late which made me almost miss my bus. If i would have missed it, i would have to do an all nighter in the airport. They made me pay an additional 60 euro before stepping on the plane, because my luggage was too big for cabin (it's ryanair approved) and once i paid the money, suddenly it was a good size and i could take it on the plane. The plane wasn't very clean and actually looked quite old. For inprovement i would suggest easyjet to have less bureaucrcy, because the staff just walks around complaining and it feels like they are making their money by going to passengers and telling them their bags are too big. There was another guy, who had a camera bag and they made him take everything out in front of everyone. Even ryanair stopped doing stuff like that. Anyways in short after having travelled to 3 continents and flying every month for the last couple of years, i can say with certainty that this was one of the worst airlines to travel with and it's mostly due to company culture. I told them this story on their website and they completely ignored me, so i guess i'll never get a refund. At least the trains give you a refund when they mess up.

Its ver y un fair how you treat the baggage policy. In my way to Barcelona my hand bag had no problem at all with the size and when coming back to Paris I had to pay 60€ and it was exactly the same bag. This policy seem to depend on the customer who is in the line checking your boarding pass to get on board and not in the policy it self... I ended up paying the same amount such flight costs in a normal airline and not in a "low cost" one

bagage checking was very, very slow. the computer system was very slow, it required a human operator. I recommend making the computer obsolete and put a human back in the position, as it would make bagage checking quicker.

I had a disappointing experience at check-in, where a small rucksack was not allowable as a second piece of hand luggage and I was charged SFR 70.00 on the spot. This is even more annoying as other passengers, in particular women with large sized handbags got away without being penalised. This was very disappointing - I had thought that this behaviour had been done away with. I travelled last week with three different airlines across Europe, and this was the only experience I had like that. Interesting to note that the other airlines I travelled with are regarded as "cheap" carriers, but offered to check-in hand luggage for free.

On Sunday evening my mom and I fled with EasyJet from Madrid to Paris and I couldn't say I had a worst experience before. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the treatment we had. Not only the company changed our flight time 10 minutes before boarding, obligating us to wait 3 hours more, as they made us dispatch our SMALL cabin bag - that is included, it's our right to take on board with us - allegating they DIDN'T HAVE SPACE. I was traveling with a backpack and my mom with a SMALL bag that absolutely fits the airline measuring rules. If it is a right for ALL PASSENGERS to take one pice of luggage on board, HOW may EasyJet allegate the didn't have enough space!? We were forced to take some FAGILE ITEMS in hands, fearing they would break while being threw from side to side (as we all well know dispatched baggages are). No explanation for the delay was given, the price was way to expensive - specially when judging by the terrible experience we had. To conclue, we were due to arrive in Paris at 23:30pm and, with those ABSURD delay, we arrived at 02am. All public transports were already closed and we had to take an Uber (€36 - EXPENCIVE). I NEVER pay taxis or Ubers to exit the airport. I live in Paris and I am totally fine with our public transports. I hope we never travel with EasyJet anymore. Is not easy AT ALL. In fact, is the extreme opposite of that.

For a 7 months pregnant woman, travelling with a child of 15 months old, it would be kind to offer a seat for the child for a low price.

Easyjet was disorganised in Amsterdam Displayed gate closing and when I got there there was not even an aircraft in sight Eventually the delay was announced and after condiderable time it was changed. Pre boarding loaded everyone into a tight poorly ventilated room into standing position in a 'snake' fashion. After considerable delay this was yet another unpleasant experience. So overall the reasonable price is not enough to account for very unpleasant experience
