One piece of hand luggage is allowed. Hand bags, laptops, briefcases, etc. are also counted as one piece. If your bag does not fit the allowed dimensions, there is a €30/£25 fee at check-in and a €50/£40 fee at the boarding gate.

Passengers can pay extra to check one bag up to 20kg. Bags passing the maximum weight allowance are subject to extra weight charges. No bag over 32kg will be accepted due to strict flight regulations. It is best to check bags and buy extra weight online as charges at the airport are considerably higher.
As of April 30, 2013 all easyJet passengers must check-in online. Online check-in is available online from 30 days to up to 2 hours before the scheduled flight departure.
If you only have hand luggage you can go straight to the security check point with your printed easyJet boarding pass. If you are traveling with checked luggage, you must drop it off at the Bag Drop counter at least 40 minutes before flight departure.
As of April 30, 2013 easyJet no longer offers airport check-in. All passengers must check-in online. Airport check-in desks will be strictly for passengers that need to drop off checked luggage.
The boarding gate closes 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure. Any passengers not present at least 30 minutes before departure will not be allowed to fly.
You must present an accepted identity card/passport for all flights, including domestic.

Arrogant staff with no competency ! I have used many airlines to date in both economy and first class and can honestly say that Easyjet ground crew is miles from any form of standard! No understanding of passengers' needs what so ever. Arrogance like I've never seen before. France left a very bad taste in my mouth! I am a Gm for a 4 star hotel in Cape Town and truly understand service delivery. I sadly must say that France's service delivery is dreadful and NO thought is given to even train staff in English. Beyond belief actually!! I won't be using your airline again. I was forced to put crystal glasses I bought in a Brucante in France in the luggage hold. They were all broken of course when arriving in Italy...all thanks to an Easyjet staff member that would not allow a small and lightweight packet into hand luggage on the plane. They mentioned just like " the gate closes at 7 pm" on the ticket. So we thought the gate means the security gate. But it meant the boarding gate. Though we arrived infront of the gate 50mins before the departure time we couldn't get on the plane. Because they went away 30 mins before the departure time.We spent 300 euros each more to take another plane on the day after.They should have mentioned about this very clearly like "we close our boarding 30 mins before the departure"yeon

My first experience with Easy Jet was really bad. The flight Amsterdam-Venice delayed almost two hours. In the flight Venice-Amasterdam at the gate, the employee told me I could use my cabin luggage on board (I used the same luggage in my flight Amsterdam-Venice without any problem!!). They said that my luggage have higher dimensions, but I saw on the flight luggages much higher than mine. So what is the criteria? I had to pay 55 euros extra to get in the plane. I felt very injuried about it. Probably this is the first and last time I will fly with Easy Jet.Leonardo

my bag conforms to 50x40x20 which was guaranteed to be cabinized but however was taken from me and thereby breaking their words. No apologies or compensation have been offered. On the incoming flight back to London at 21:20 flight was delayed until 22:10 and again no compensation of any goodwill of any kind was offered by Easyjet. I was appalled that the credit card fee of around 6 euros was put through twice (for each ticket) even though my return tickets were bought in the same transaction meaning that the credit card information was only put through once. A credit card fee is generally applied to the number of transactions, not the number of items purchased within each transaction and thus I feel this is just a manipulative way for EasyJet to make more money of their clients while advertising low prices.Tash
