Aer Lingus’ frequent flyer programme, the Gold Circle Club, gives members the opportunity to earn and spend frequent flyer points on Aer Lingus and partner airline flights.
Headquartered in Dublin International Airport, Aer Lingus is Ireland’s second largest airline, after low cost competitor, Ryanair. The airline offers routes to over 80 destinations in Ireland, England, Continental Europe, the United States and Northern Africa. Apart from Dublin, it has hubs in Belfast City, Cork, London Gatwick, and Shannon. Aer Lingus was founded in 1936 by the Irish Government and its first flight took off in May of the same year, in a route from Dublin to Bristol. Today, the airline employs over 4,000 people with a fleet of 45 Airbus aircraft which in 2011 flew over 9.5 million passengers.
Aer Lingus was a member of the Oneworld alliance until 2007, and today, although it is no longer part of the alliance, has maintained code share agreements with OneWorld, SkyTeam, and StarAlliance members and interline agreements with Aer Arann, JetBlue Airways, and United Airlines.

Not really well organized. There was delay for return flight. Also fees for bagges (for the same amount of size/weight) was different in Dublin and Amsterdam. (if the flight agency is the same, why the price should be different, for 15 kg in Dublin I paid only 15 Euro but in Amsterdam I had to pay 40 Euro!), no boday gave me an answer when I asked for differences!Parisa
I had to fly to Gatwick to get a flight in Heathrow only gave me three hours to get airport to airport I try to change the flight and one staff would not help me. He said I made a mistake and you can't help me the next day I rang again I got different staff member he happy to change the flight to anuria time so I can make the second flight but I was charged 100 Euro to do this how are you meant to make one flight to your flight in three hours I will not be using this service again I deleted my app and I use a different one are used used for years goodbyeOsmar
I could not retrieve my flight details before departure and had to rebook another flight directly with a different airline. What a bad experience. I won't use eDreams again if this is not resolved!Mark
When you are booked on the last flight I would hope if you attend well in advance you could get on earlier flight. The plane was very small and noisySafty
Pleasant flight altogether, the misery with storaging the luggages could be resolved a bit quicker so we wouldn't get longer delaysDiana
The boarding process is not efficient and people that are seated more in front are not able to get luggage inside because it is full from the othersMG
' good service. glad to hear an authentic Irish accent on Aer lingus. Although, because of a raucous Hen Party on the flight home to Dublin, the oldest of the air hostesses was visibly hostile towards the 'party It was obvious she had had experience before with boisterous behaviour and hated to have to tolerate it. When she made the landing announcement I was wakening from a short sleep but I could tell as could the others on the row that I was seated on, that she had a dour manner. In fairness, she was polite to everyone actually leaving the plane but it was interest to note that 'if you don't feel and have a smile on your face before announcing over an itercom, that Yes, the passengers definately can hear it in the voice. In fairness, those that were intoxicated would not have remembered any announcements. The air hostess on the outbound flight had a very Dublin accent, fair enough but, she spoke too fast; I am a 55 yr old Irish lady who could just about listen to her pace of information, God help the tourists.none
Price is quiet fair access with App or Beta Apps.. is bad also changing bookings ie laguages and seats or informations. Quiet similar like spanair or iberia. Seats good its leather but vintage almostSini
I was affected by delays on both journeys, however my return journey was especially bad, delayed by 2 hours and rerouted to Shannon airport. I understand this was due to weather partly but the management by ryanair in notifying us in time and providing any form of care of compensation throughout our delays was terrible and we were offered no water or travel vouchers for our delayed arrival at 5AM at Dublin when the flight was due in at 11PM.Matthew
1. It was a disappointment that , having purchased a seat at the front of the cabin, the only entry/exit was at the tail. 2. The plane was about 5 min late leaving Edinburgh and 30 min late arriving in Dublin. 3. The bus in Dublin went as far away from the baggage reclaim as possible - totally unnecessary and totally unacceptableBarry
Aer Lingus have really gone down hill. We paid top dollar to go to Vienna to celebrate our Silver Wedding anniversary, We could have travelled Ryanair for half the price. the knee space is far too tight with the top of the pocket right in my knee. then when the people in front decided to recline their seats it was a very miserable flight. RA have widened the space and took away the recliners, no pockets, so far more pleasant to travel with. Then we wanted to be organised and print our boarding passes in time, this cost another E31 which is crazy. With RA you can do this up to 1 week before at no charge. Very disappointing. Sit up and take note or is this the price of BA takeover.MOGIE
Could not understand why when i booked & paid for priorty facilities as system wld not allow me to do otherwise during online check in we still had to queue with all other passengers Only benefit was tht we were seated btween riws 1-7. Felt it was a bit of a conNone
Of the 4 airlines we used in Europe this had the highest luggage surcharge and not even a complementary cup of water on board. All the other airlines had complementary beverages and snacks.GY
Very helpful for getting cheap flights Booking in a bag wasn't included as far as I could see until checking ingold star
Well, I generally got a very positive experience. Time management is superb, customer handling great. All was and still is okay. That is why I am using it again soon. BUT I am worried of one thing, what is the traveler has a heavy luggage, can it be catered for?Sev
Milagros
Everything was fine and it was nice and cosy flying over because the plane was fairly big. And there was lots of space to stretch your legs!Monalee
I booked the flight for my brother. However we did not realise that their was a 24 hour stopover in Manchester until we printed off the tickets. There was no obvious evidence of this on the screen.I therefore had to book and pay for a second out going flight. My brother took out cancellation insurance with the first flight he booked but we have not got any satisfaction with this to date. Please advise us as to what steps to take in order to ger a reimbursement , RegardsMel
Absolutely disgraceful carry on in Choplin airport. Myself and four friends went to Warsaw and returned home with Aerlingus on Monday the 6th. We arrived in airport at 9, two hours before the flight. We checked our gate and it said gate 8. It was later changed to 15 which gave us very little time as gates are opposite sides of airport. Also there was passport control in between the airport. We rushed to gate and three of my friends were allowed through. We arrived literally 30 seconds after and saw our friends going through. They asked the man working to wait for us and he told them to go on and they would wait. This man would not let me or my friend board and told us we were too late but we were still there with 15 minutes to spare. My friends told the air hostess and she rang them and they said they were sending a bus for us. they were on the plane for over 25 minutes as there was too much carry on luggage and some had to be taken off and put below the aircraft. This man was so rude to us and wouldnt let us through even though our friends could just seconds before. We had to leave the gate, rebook a flight to London Gatwick and then to Shannon which cost us €485 each. We didnt get home until ten that night. It was the worst experience of my life and absolutely no one will apologise or compensate us. Its a joke.catchy
Flight delayed (not due to the airline). Plesant flight, lots of room, as the airplane was not full. Nice crew. But no complimentary drinks/snacks: you have to pay for it.Laurence
